Our history

2023
From an innovative idea of Davide and Riccardo, the third generation of young winemakers, Sir Grape was born, a pure grape juice from DOC Lambrusco and Pignoletto grape varieties. Located in the heart of the Food Valley, in the province of Modena, the company now has 5 hectares of vineyards, all dedicated exclusively to the production of local DOC grapes for the creation of grape juices.

2000
The first 3-4 years of the 2000s are characterized by the expansion of the number of vine hectares thanks to several interventions carried out by the second generation of winegrowers. Modern "Spalliera" and "GDC" training systems are then introduced and implemented, with an exclusive focus on DOC Pignoletto and Lambrusco grape varieties.

'50s
In the countryside of Castelfranco Emilia, the first generation of winegrowers started the first cultivations of Moscato, Montuni, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Lambrusco and Pignoletto grape varieties using the old arch training system, called "Bellussi."
“Grape is not just fruit, it is the taste of sun, earth and life.”
Paulo Coelho
The idea was born from an ambitious project of two young friends and now also partners, Davide and Riccardo, who decided to transform an ancient family tradition and passion into a professional challenge.
The good fortune of being born in the countryside allowed us to experience nature and its seasonality from an early age: every summer, for at least two weeks, the whole family used to gather for the wine harvest, and the hard work was turned into indelible moments of togetherness and sharing.
Being born and raised in the countryside by farming families made our relationship with nature and the world of agriculture very intense, gave us the opportunity to learn up close about culture and tradition and was crucial in choosing the best cultivation and production techniques, allowing sir grape to achieve a very high quality of products.
Our personal experiences prompted us to come together to create a company whose benchmarks is product quality, love for the land and the work it requires. By first learning knowledge and insight from those who have always lived the land and then undertaking specific training in the field, we were able to give birth to sir grape, which for us means quality, passion, connection to our land and sustainability.
To date, Riccardo is in charge of commercial development and marketing while Davide follows all the agronomic part and the production and transformation phases.
